- > Then get a Wintel system. Yes, I know that you are being sarcastic but
- the PC is the outdated one. All they have done is Soup up old
- technology. Example, with the Amiga you can have as many serial ports
- going at the same time. With the PC you can have a total of four, only
- two of which can go at the same time. While the new video cards give
- you more colors and faster speed they are still just the old cards reved
- up some. You could compare this to AGA compared to AAA, except from
- what I have heard AAA does a whole lot more.
-
- From what I have heard about it the AAA chipset does a whole lot more
- than any of the PC video card can.
-
- While we are on this subject I wonder if VIScorp has been working with
- AAA at all. When I talked to Dale (is it Larson) at IAM he said that
- when C= folded AAA was ready to go into second silicon. That means,
- more or less, that they were ready for Beta testing. He said that they
- would need about a year for the software team to do the software, but
- that if new people did the software it would take two years.
-
- Well, I would guess the Carl S was one of the originals so maybe he and
- others have been doing this for the last year, or since they got their
- license in January. Going by what Dale told me they would be able to be
- done for the launch of the PAmiga. Any comments VIScorp?
